When Jaguar produced the first E Types, about 500 steering wheels were ordered and CTB (Coventry Timber Bending) was using a beech veneer with a pale appearance just as on the front page of the sales brochure. With increased production CTB could not cope to supply same same wood and started do use mahogany instead.
Here is one all original steering wheel in beech veneer, unmolested and not even restored. Almost impossible to find or to reproduce.
The horn push is genuine as well and in pristine condition
