Sorting out matching key barrels

One of the small details I really did not like with my first ever E Type. It had an original ignition Key and another key for the doors. Always searching for the right key plus always an obsolete key at the key fob in the dash did not really look original. Small detail but it is worth it.

Here I am preparing the two original door cylinder to match the FP or FS ignition barrel and key.

Champion Spark Plug Caps

The very early JAGUAR E Type Champion Spark Plug cap WCX548 or dotted cap were used on the very first E Type until about November 61. They are made of bakelite and only a very very few have survived. Cheap reproductions are available but do tend to crack after some time. How to recognize the extremely rare originals and how to spot the cheaper repros are explained in the pics.
